RuneScape: Tier 70 Deathwarden Necromancy: gear and manual spender bar

RuneScape: A named tier 70 Necromancy set with death guard, skull lantern, Deathwarden armour, conjures and explicit Necrosis/Soul spending.

Skills, quests and modern ability combat share the same character. Keep the current combat settings and equipped style aligned when creating a learning setup.

OPMetaBuildReviewed 2026-10-17Detailed configuration

This tank-armour configuration trades peak power-armour damage for a forgiving learning setup. The Revolution portion is deliberately short: build resources automatically, but choose when to summon, heal and spend. Unlock the listed talents and Kili equipment upgrades first; owning a level does not automatically complete the associated quests and talent requirements.

Configuration and exact selections

Main hand
Death guard (tier 70)

Necromancy weapon; use the named tier rather than the initial tutorial weapon.

Off hand
Skull lantern (tier 70)

The matching off-hand enables the conjure setup.

Head
Deathwarden hood (tier 70)

Tank-armour route through Kili.

Body
Deathwarden robe top (tier 70)

Unaugmented version: no Invention perk requirement assumed.

Legs
Deathwarden robe bottom (tier 70)

Matches the Deathwarden defensive set.

Hands and feet
Deathwarden gloves (tier 70); Deathwarden boots (tier 70)

Complete the five armour slots.

Neck, ring and cape
Amulet of fury; Ring of fortune; Obsidian cape

Explicit accessible accessory baseline, not endgame best-in-slot.

Revolution slots 1–3
Touch of Death → Soul Sap → Necromancy

Restrict the automated bar to these builders; manual actions remain outside it.

Manual conjures
Conjure Skeleton Warrior; Conjure Vengeful Ghost

Bring ectoplasm and unlock the corresponding talents.

Manual spenders
Finger of Death; Volley of Souls

Spend built resources rather than forcing every spender into Revolution.

Food and recovery
Shark

Carry actual food for recovery; the selected dual-wield setup does not silently equip a shield.

How to use this setup

  1. Before a pull, summon Skeleton Warrior and Vengeful Ghost when their unlocked versions are available and carry ectoplasm.
  2. Let Touch of Death, Soul Sap and Necromancy generate the resources. Keep movement available rather than treating Revolution as an unattended combat system.
  3. At six Necrosis stacks, use Finger of Death; at three Residual Souls, use Volley of Souls. Spend before repeatedly generating resources at their cap.
  4. Refresh conjures as needed and handle incoming attacks with movement and recovery. The build does not automate boss mechanics.

Priorities and progression

  • 70 Necromancy and the equipment’s Defence requirements, plus Kili upgrade tasks.
  • Follow accuracy/damage potential, survivability and resource uptime rather than importing an OSRS accuracy rule.
  • No Invention perks, high-level prayers, overloads or expensive damage jewellery are assumed.

Separate resource building from spending

Touch of Death contributes Necrosis, while Soul Sap supplies Residual Souls. Their spenders are not interchangeable. Keeping Finger of Death and Volley of Souls manual makes their timing visible and prevents the bar from consuming resources before the intended attack window. The Deathwarden pieces are a defensive selection; replacing them with Deathdealer changes the armour plan and should be evaluated as a separate configuration.

Requirements and scope

Members’ RuneScape, tier 70 Necromancy training and quest PvE, with listed talent unlocks. Not an AFK promise or a current high-end damage benchmark.
