Pantheon Early Access guide: class roles, abilities and first groups

Prepare a Pantheon Early Access character with a clear group role, usable abilities, sensible equipment and the correct commercial or PTR context.

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen remains an Early Access game with systems and class abilities under development.

OPMetaBuildReviewed 2026-10-17Practical guide

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen remains an Early Access game with systems and class abilities under development. Its Public Test Realm is a separate testing environment, not the full commercial Early Access experience. Keep the client and the date of a guide visible before copying a class plan. A build based on a PTR experiment may describe abilities or progression that your usual server does not yet provide.

Choose a responsibility before a class ranking

Read the class descriptions and the options actually offered in character creation. Decide whether you enjoy keeping an enemy’s attention, sustaining allies, dealing damage or managing control and utility. Do not infer current availability from every planned class listed on a broad overview. Check race/class choices in the Early Access client, then learn the actions that let you carry out that responsibility.

Build around abilities you have learned

Review the abilities available from the relevant trainers and organise the ones your character can currently use. Read resource costs and conditions before relying on a rotation described for another build. Practise a simple engagement with an exit and recovery step. A higher-level description is useful as a direction, but it should not hide the absence of an essential action on your current bar.

Make the first group’s plan explicit

Agree on who begins engagements, who handles recovery and how the group treats controlled enemies. Stay close enough to follow that plan without creating extra encounters. Tell the group when the area is unfamiliar and allow time for resource recovery. A well-understood small engagement teaches the role more reliably than attempting a difficult chain of pulls without knowing the available responses.

Buy for the current character, not a future formula

Check usable equipment and relevant attributes against the current class tools before spending heavily. Keep practical supplies and a recovery plan rather than filling the inventory with speculative endgame pieces. Test upgrades in familiar content. During Early Access, an itemisation adjustment can change the value of an old recommendation, so keep the reason for each purchase in your notes.

Separate development announcements from live instructions

A weekly development update describes work in progress, not necessarily a feature ready to use. Confirm release notes for the client you play before rebuilding around a newly discussed ability system or Mastery option. Keep a working version of your character plan and update one section when a verified change arrives. This guide provides a learning framework rather than an untested current-meta ranking.

Before the next session

  • Distinguish commercial Early Access from PTR.
  • Check current class and race availability.
  • Learn the available ability and recovery plan.
  • Confirm group responsibilities and current-client patch context.
Original starter framework matched to the named service or Early Access context. No tested meta ranking, fixed best-in-slot list or future feature availability is implied.
