This is the named Arcanist setup from a dated build reference, rewritten as an explicit slot plan. Arcane Conduit occupies Spell Mastery; the other three encounter slots use Repel, Entangling Force and Disintegrate. The sequence deliberately does not add Ray of Enfeeblement as a fifth encounter power. Gear and balance changes after the reference require rechecking rather than relabelling this a latest-patch ranking.

How to use this setup
- Begin with Arcane Conduit on Spell Mastery, then Entangling Force and Disintegrate.
- Use Repel as the selected fourth encounter contribution when positioning allows.
- Activate Arcane Empowerment for a safe boss damage window; continue the equipped encounter cycle.
- Use Ray of Frost between available encounters. Do not insert an unselected fifth encounter into the rotation.
Priorities and progression
- The dated reference allocates ability score increases to Intelligence and Dexterity.
- Prioritise Power and Combat Advantage, then Critical Strike and Critical Severity; inspect the actual percentage and rating budget at your item level.
- Do not buy a complete historical best-in-slot list without checking what statistics your character already has.
Keep the boss window practical
The point of an encounter sequence is to fit the powers that are actually equipped into a safe attack window. If the boss is moving or becomes untargetable, preserve the important daily rather than executing a written order into empty space. Resume from the cooldowns you have, not an imaginary reset.
Change slots explicitly for packs
The reference offers Icy Terrain and Steal Time for area combat. Those are swaps for Repel and Entangling Force, not extra buttons that can coexist with every boss selection. Save a separate area loadout if you use those alternatives and check the active configuration before entering an encounter.
