MapleStory: Hero fifth-job bossing V Matrix and boost-node build

MapleStory: Hero V Matrix choices: Raging Blow, Cry Valhalla and Final Attack boosts, four Hero skills, Decent buffs, Weapon Aura and a practical boss sequence.

A MapleStory build develops through several systems rather than one final equipment purchase.

OPMetaBuildReviewed 2026-10-17Detailed configuration

Build the V Matrix around the attacks you repeatedly use, then add the burst skills and supporting buffs. This configuration gives a definite node shopping list and a practice sequence. Add slots as they unlock; keep the primary boosts and essential class skills ahead of convenience nodes when your matrix is still small.

Configuration and exact selections

Primary boost trio
Raging Blow / Cry Valhalla / Final Attack

Find compatible boost nodes covering all three skills.

Hero node 1
Burning Soul Blade

The blade supports sustained attacks and the burst window.

Hero node 2
Instinctual Combo

Prepare the short offensive window when the boss can be hit.

Hero node 3
Sword Illusion

Keep this named attack in the available bossing cycle.

Hero node 4
Worldreaver

Reserve its casting invulnerability for a mechanic when necessary.

Shared warrior node
Weapon Aura

Supports the weapon-attack plan.

Explorer node
Maple World Goddess’s Blessing

Align the buff with an accessible attack window.

Critical buff node
Decent Sharp Eyes: level 1

A concrete support-node starting rank.

Skill buff node
Decent Combat Orders: level 1

Add the named buff before optional convenience nodes.

Speed buff node
Decent Speed Infusion: level 1

Check your complete attack-speed arrangement.

Bind node
Erda Nova: target level 20

A specific later node target for the boss-control plan.

How to use this setup

  1. Enable Combo Attack and prepare the named Decent buffs. For a focused boss, use Enrage according to its target limitation.
  2. Use Cry Valhalla, Epic Adventure and Maple World Goddess’s Blessing before the planned damage window.
  3. Activate Burning Soul Blade and Instinctual Combo when the boss remains reachable; use Erda Nova when the encounter permits a bind.
  4. Use Sword Illusion and continue Raging Blow while watching the boss rather than cancelling movement to finish a rigid script.
  5. Use Worldreaver for a dangerous attack when its invulnerability is needed; return to the repeatable attack cycle afterward.

Priorities and progression

  • STR and weapon Attack support the basic Hero damage route.
  • Evaluate Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Boss Damage and Ignore Enemy Defense against the boss you actually fight.
  • Attack-speed sources and weapon choice belong to the same decision; do not buy an expensive axe while ignoring the speed setup.

Build usable slots before chasing every node

A node list is a progression target, not an instruction to fit eleven choices into fewer slots. Start with the primary boosts and class skills you can equip. The secondary Puncture, Rising Rage and Beam Blade boosts are a later expansion when the primary bossing package works.

Keep fifth-job investment separate from HEXA

The choices here are V Matrix nodes. A level-260 sixth-job Hero adds a separate system and resource budget. Practising this attack-and-defence cycle remains useful, but this page does not turn a dated fifth-job node priority into a current endgame HEXA ranking.

Requirements and scope
