Use a polearm with Samurai support for the two-handed attack plan, while keeping the wyvern alive so the Jump interactions remain useful. The listed items are a concrete progression target assembled from the starter reference. Obtaining the weapon and armour is part of the progression; the page does not assume they are granted simply by reaching level 99.

How to use this setup
- Summon the wyvern with Call Wyvern, then prepare Hasso before engaging.
- Use Spirit Jump and Soul Jump when available; keep ordinary attacks running to build TP.
- Use the learned or weapon-granted polearm weapon skill when the target and party skillchain plan permit it.
- Use Spirit Link when appropriate to preserve the wyvern; watch your own health cost.
- Return to TP-building equipment after a weapon skill rather than remaining in an unrelated swap set.
Priorities and progression
- Accuracy sufficient for the actual target comes before theoretical damage on misses.
- The TP arrangement values Haste, Store TP and multi-attack; the weapon-skill arrangement may favour different STR and damage modifiers.
- Retain survivability and check pet status; a dead wyvern changes how the setup performs.
Separate TP and weapon-skill equipment
This list defines the TP-building foundation. A later weapon-skill set is a separate improvement, not a reason to replace every piece with a weapon-skill modifier while waiting between attacks. Keep the polearm equipped unless you deliberately accept the consequences of a weapon change.
Fund the named progression in stages
Ambuscade rewards, the job-specific body, mission rings and cape augments have different acquisition routes. Set one attainable target at a time and select content you can actually clear. This configuration is not a promise that a new level-99 character can immediately complete every Ambuscade difficulty.
