This spell-bar package gives a Shadowknight a specific defensive stance, reactive sustain, encounter threat and life-drain attacks. Use a compatible one-handed weapon and shield while learning the tank job. The selected ranks are available by level 55 in the Live spell-line reference; upgrade quality is separate from the Roman numeral of the spell line.

How to use this setup
- Before pulling, activate Lucan’s Pact IV and Unholy Strength III, then prepare Unholy Blessing IV.
- Bring the intended encounter to a controlled position and use Blasphemy IV.
- Use Devouring Mist and the available drain attacks, including Tap Veins when its area is safe.
- Use Insidious Whisper V on a target needing threat; keep Grave Sacrament III and Rescue available for recovery.
- Watch health, power and enemy positioning instead of assuming drains replace a group healer.
Priorities and progression
- Prioritise usable plate, mitigation and avoidance for the actual enemies.
- Strength and Stamina support this fighter progression; do not copy caster Intelligence gearing solely because some attacks look magical.
- Upgrade important spell quality and keep the selected rank current before buying unrelated offensive adornments.
Spell rank and quality are different
Grave Sacrament III is a spell-line rank; Apprentice, Expert and Master describe quality. Copying a high-rank name from a level-cap build does not make it learnable at level 55. Start from these explicit ranks and replace them with later learned upgrades as the character progresses.
Threat control is a group action
Give the group a stable target position and establish the encounter before heavy damage begins. Do not spend every recovery taunt immediately if ordinary tools hold the enemies. If a healer is under attack, use the correct target threat action and reposition; more drain damage alone may not solve the lost target.
