Before choosing a build
Your starting class is an initial allocation, not a permanent combat role. Focus early decisions on weapon requirements, survivability and equipment load. Explore for upgrade materials and practice a small set of reliable attacks. A build should help you recognise safe decisions, not replace learning the enemy.
Your progression checklist
- Check the exact requirements of your equipped weapon.
- Look at the equipment-load category after changing armour.
- Leave stamina for an escape.
- Upgrade the weapon before assuming you need a rare replacement.
A focused practice exercise
Find a familiar, ordinary enemy and practise one attack followed by an immediate escape. Add a second attack only when the recovery window allows it. Repeat after changing equipment load so you can feel the difference. This exercise separates a control problem from a character-stat problem without risking a difficult boss attempt.
