Check the character you already own

Start by checking the platform, character and content access on your existing account. Identify a realistic goal for the remaining service period: finish a storyline, revisit an expedition or play with friends. The publisher has stated that no further new content or server merges are planned. Avoid building a long purchase or progression plan around an assumed next expansion.

Reconnect the weapon pair and attributes

Read the attribute scaling on both equipped weapons. A pair with compatible needs makes early decisions easier, but its skills must also suit the activity. Review the weapon mastery choices and the active actions on your bar. Practise switching weapons during an ordinary encounter before attempting a group role you have not played recently.

Review weight before copying old equipment

Inspect the equipment-load tooltip and test the movement available with the current set. Keep dodge, block and recovery familiar before adding expensive perks. Read current item descriptions rather than assuming an old gear-score ceiling or progression system still applies. Historical guides can explain a weapon’s idea without describing the final live rules.

Prepare one complete activity

Choose one expedition, quest chain or familiar open-world route and bring the necessary consumables. Confirm your group role and available skills before the pull. Review what caused interruptions after the activity, then change the relevant choice. Keep the official closure date in mind when deciding how much time to commit to a new long-term project.

• Check both weapon scaling and equipment weight.
