Aion 2 progression systems: gear, skills and collections

Understand how equipment, skills, Daevanion, pets, wings, titles, Monolith, Pantheon and Arcana fit into a character setup.

OPMetaBuildPublished 2026-10-15Practical guide

A character setup is more than the items in its equipment slots. Use this checklist to separate the different sources of power, then change one system at a time so you can see what improved.

Equipment and enhancements

Check the slot, enhancement and random properties separately. Two identically named items can behave differently. Choose a complete affordable setup before planning costly final rolls.

Skills and Stigmas

Separate what you have equipped from what you can afford to upgrade. Keep recovery and situational actions available when following an offensive sequence; a rotation is a decision aid, not a reason to ignore an ally in danger.

Daevanion

Treat a board as a route with a point budget. Record the nodes that give the effect you want, the cost to reach them and whether the route still works at your current progression.

Pets and Genus Insight

Review collection progress and insight bonuses separately. Before rerolling a useful result, compare the chance of improving with the resources you would lose; a higher collection total alone does not explain every stat.

Wings, titles, Monolith, Pantheon and Arcana

Make a checklist of active bonuses and collection bonuses. When comparing two builds, check these systems as well as equipment; otherwise a large stat difference may be attributed to the wrong item.

Keep PvE and PvP plans distinct

A group boss encounter and a fight against another player do not test the same things. Review survival, accuracy and control before transferring an offensive PvE setup into PvP. Avoid treating a single simulator value as a universal target.
