Set up a useful first session
Choose your region and class before following an equipment list. A regional guide may describe a different balance update, item translation or content unlock. Write down the version you are playing and keep it beside your build notes.
Learn your controls before optimising
Put frequently used attacks, recovery skills and your escape on keys you can reach while moving. Practise against a simple enemy: attack, move, recover, then re-engage. A readable screen and reliable movement help more than an expensive item you cannot use safely.
Organise progression around a goal
- Use your quest journal to identify the next unlock instead of following an old level target blindly.
- Check why an encounter failed: missing damage, incoming damage, positioning or resources. Change the relevant part of your setup.
- Keep an upgrade reserve until you know which equipment you will keep. Record the cost before confirming an upgrade.
- Before a group activity, confirm your job and place the essential recovery or defensive skills within easy reach.
