This Battleaxe setup is intended for learning ordinary solo PvE. Begin with a low-cost tier you have unlocked and can replace. Its sustain tools give you several recovery decisions, but do not make lethal zones or larger enemy groups automatically safe.

The complete equipment kit
Weapon: Battleaxe. Off-hand: Shield. Head: Scholar Cowl. Chest: Mercenary Jacket. Feet: Mercenary Shoes. Add an ordinary Cape, Bag and riding horse appropriate to the budget. Catfish is an out-of-combat recovery food; bring a suitable healing or poison potion for your activity. The basic kit does not require an expensive faction cape.
Select the active skills deliberately
Choose Rending Strike for a focused target or Rending Spin for nearby packs, Adrenaline Boost on W and Blood Bandit on E, subject to your unlocked options. Select Energy Shield on the cowl, Bloodlust on the jacket and Refreshing Sprint on the shoes. Read the client description if mastery or balance changes affect which options you can select.
Bleed first, then decide how to recover
Start on a small pack and use Q while maintaining normal attacks. Read the bleed state before spending the two-part Blood Bandit sequence. Use the second activation for recovery when appropriate instead of treating both presses as an unrelated burst button. Keep Energy Shield for pressure or energy trouble. Activate Bloodlust when you can continue landing direct hits, rather than while running without attacking.
Learn the kit before raising its cost
Test the recovery actions one at a time in lower-risk content. Keep the sprint available to leave a bad position. Bleeding enemies can keep you in combat, so do not assume an escape immediately lets you mount. Before red or black zones, bank valuables and price a full replacement including consumables and mount. This is a learning kit, not a large-scale PvP specification.
Before your next session
- Equip the named weapon, off-hand and armour pieces.
- Check your available Q, W, E and armour skills.
- Practise one recovery tool at a time.
- Keep enough silver to replace the complete kit.
