Star Wars: The Old Republic: Vigilance Guardian level 80: burns, implants and all tree choices

Star Wars: The Old Republic: A defined single-target Vigilance setup with all eight tree choices, Hemophilic Slash, two legendary implants, relics and Focus decisions.

A SWTOR character has several separate choices.

OPMetaBuildReviewed 2026-10-17Detailed configuration

Choose Vigilance within Guardian, equip a single lightsaber with an offensive Focus off-hand, and select the eight listed options. Hemophilic Slash is the single-target tactical for this page; replacing it with Cut to Pieces deliberately changes the emphasis to groups. The burn cycle matters more than pressing every glowing button without checking Focus.

Activity

Tactical
Hemophilic Slash

Single-target setup; do not silently substitute the AoE tactical.

Legendary implants
Fearless Victor; Champion’s Precision

These are the two selected implant bonuses.

Relic 1
Rakata Relic of Focused Retribution

Mastery proc relic.

Relic 2
Rakata Relic of Serendipitous Assault

Power proc relic.

Weapon and off-hand
Single lightsaber; Focus — offensive Mastery/Power pieces

Do not equip a tank Shield as though it were the selected damage off-hand.

Core attacks
Plasma Brand; Blade Storm; Overhead Slash; Vigilant Thrust; Blade Barrage

Keep all three burn sources represented in the cycle.

Resource and execute actions
Force Leap; Sundering Strike; Saber Throw; Whirling Blade

Whirling Blade replaces the lower-level Dispatch button.

How to use this setup

  1. Enter with Force Leap when appropriate, then Sundering Strike to establish Focus.
  2. Apply Plasma Brand, Blade Storm and Overhead Slash so the three burn effects are represented.
  3. Use Vigilant Thrust and Blade Barrage; with Hemophilic Slash, treat Blade Barrage as part of the damage interaction rather than a discarded filler.
  4. Choose Sundering Strike or Saber Throw when Focus needs rebuilding; use available Whirling Blade for its execute window. Reapply the burn sequence instead of spending everything on Slash.

Priorities and progression

  • For standard level-80 PvE boss targets, aim for 110% special-attack Accuracy.
  • Choose the 1.4-second GCD alacrity bracket for this learning setup; guild bonuses change the rating needed. Allocate remaining offensive tertiary stats to Critical.
  • Mastery/Power damage pieces rather than tank Shield/Absorb. The page does not prescribe a newly invented item-rating cap.

A story origin is not a damage build

The equipment bonuses and chosen tactical identify this damage version. A Defense Guardian can carry the same story title but needs different gear and priorities. The level-80 tree rows here are explicit so a player can reproduce the setup; individual encounter utility may justify a documented swap later.

Requirements and scope

Level 80 Guardian, Vigilance discipline, 7.8 reference mechanics. Republic names; Vengeance Juggernaut uses mirrored Imperial names.
